You may be able to clean your air conditioner coils (electricity off)
BUT
Can you test a capacitor? Can you check a contactor coil? Can you determine "why" a wire failed and burned off? Is your refrigerant level at 90% or 100%?
Most systems will have 19 - 27 items to inspect / test during seasonal preventative maintenance. Some indoor or outdoor motors need oiling. Repairing worn / weak parts can prevent major repairs or replacements that may cost up to ten times as much!
